Application of Prague to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network

Prague City of Literature project took another significant step towards the possible involvement of Prague in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. In January 2013 has been completed and by the Permanent Delegation of the Czech Republic to UNESCO also supplied all documents necessary to assess our candidacy.

These documents were approved in October 2012 by Prague City Hall resolution.

What does the application contains

• Application of Prague to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network
• the book by Pavel Mandys – Prague City of Literature
• CD with electronic versions of all these documents, which also contains factual supplement of application (directory of Prague cultural institutions)
• Prague City of Literature postcards

In November 2013 was published a new conditions and also a new formular for applications. A new version of our application was submitted in March 2014. Very important part of our apllication were also support letters from all UNESCO Creative Cities of Literature.
