Alejandro Pedregosa

Alejandro Pedregosa was born in Granada in 1974. He wanted to become a professional football player but he was not gifted enough for sports so he started to write, prose and poetry. From his novels should be mentioned especially Hotel Mediterráneo (2015), the same as his crime trilogy, while each of the three novels takes places in another Spanish town: Un extraño lugar para morir (Pamplona), Un mal paso (Santiago de Compostela) and A pleno sol (Madrid).

He also writes poetry; he sees it as intellectual and linguistic exercise with his mother tongue. Some of his collections of poems are Los labios celestes or El tiempo de los bárbaros. In Prague he was working on his new novel, in which Kafka meets Lorca to talk about love and literature.
